Funding Information

We will support learners to access the Advanced Learner Loan, which is available to those learners (19+) studying at Level 3 or above.  Most importantly, if the student completes their HE course, the loan for the Access course of £3,900 is written off.

Entry Requirements:

  • It is preferable for students to hold GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent), but each student is assessed as an individual basis.
  • Minimum age 19 years

Progression Routes

This diploma will prepare the students for university-led studies so they can go on to do a degree courses with specific focus on the Built Environment. This includes: 

  • Construction and the Built Environment

  • Architecture and Technology
  • Project Management
  • Quantity and Building Surveying

Such progression opportunities exist within the London South Bank University and the University of East London in addition to many other universities in the UK.


The Diploma has its own approved set of units of assessment, governed by rules of combination. Assessment will prepare the students to the university assessment methods and will include written assignments, presentations and detailed drawings.
